3-day Quote Challenge! (3/3)

Hi there! It’s been a while right? I’ve been away for a week so i’m only finishing this 3-day quote challenge today. Thanks again to Rose Regine for this challenge. 😀 The first two quotes can be found here, if you’re interested.

Rules

  • Post one quotation a day for three days (they can be from other sources or one of your own).
  • Nominate 3 other bloggers to participate per post.
  • Thank the blogger who nominated you.

The quote i’ll be sharing is something i got from my 5-day trip (i’m making a post about it so you can check that out later :D). As we were visiting some churches along the way, this quote caught my attention. It is painted on a large block of wood hanging on the exit path of a certain church’s belltower as shown below.

Two of the things i like, book and travel, are mentioned in this quote and i guess that’s what really pushed me to use this quote for this challenge. Back when i was still in the earlier years of grades school, i’ve already liked reading books. My parents won’t let us watch television during school days and we live in a really rural place where my neighbors were also my relatives. So whenever i have free time after school, i read. Back then i only really fairy tales or if i run out of them, i read my textbooks. I even read the bible without knowing what it really is. It’s made up of stories anyway. Fortunately, my efforts were not in vain coz i got into the top of the class.  Haha, anyway let’s get to the quote itself.

Life is like a book which is true. We are the protagonist of our own story and the author of our own book. The only difference, i guess, is that only you yourself can know what really happens in your own story unless you became a really famous person and get your life story written and published in a real book. And what really makes a story more interesting? I’ve been reading lots of fiction novels, manga, etc. and aside from the romance genre, i love adventures. And when adventures came to the picture, you know that it can involve travelling or lots of exploring. That’s the fun part for me. A story can get really monotonous if it only happens in a single place. You won’t get to meet interesting people, see  great places, experience other cultures, or even eat others’ native delicacies. You’ll really miss out a lot.

The world is really big, if you think of travelling it. I don’t think i can even cover one-fourth of it by travelling with the remaining years of my life. It would take a lot of time and money, of course. But i think that’s not what’s really important. We can make our own lives as interesting as possible with travelling to just several places. It’s what we do there, who we meet and how we make the travel fun that is important. Well, you know, it’s true that we can live only once (unless reincarnation is true) but we don’t have to count the days we live. We just have to make the most out of it while we’re alive. 😀 This might not be convincing coming from an introvert like me. Haha. But this is not just about me, it’s about us. Lol. And i really like travelling too. 😉

Yup, that’s the end of the 3-day Quote Challenge. It took more time than i expected, haha. But i hope you like this and the other two quotes as well. Before i forget again, my nominees are:

Only two for now. I haven’t checked out other blogs yet. Haha. Until my next post~ 😀
