Most Heartbreaking Movie πŸ’”πŸ˜

I’ve watched a fair amount of anime movies (those without an anime series), and i can say that Hotarubi no Mori e is the most heartbreaking one for me. For a really short movie, only 45 minutes, it was really full of emotions. My heart can’t take the sadness in the end, it made me cry.

It’s been a while since i last re-watched this movie and just now i cried bucketsΒ again when i chanced upon this video:

I really liked the song in the video. It really complements the movie and maybe that’s why it toreΒ my heart into pieces once again.Β πŸ’”

What is the most heartbreaking movie for you? Let me know so i can check it out.

P.S. Don’t you think Gin is kinda like Natsume in Natsume Yuujinchou?

  1. This movie really was so sad but I don’t think it’s the saddest, only because there wasn’t enough time spent invested in the characters. But it certainly is very powerful for such a short 45min movie and the ending was really sad even though it was spoilt for me long before I watched it.

    • I don’t watch much movies, so I think in terms of heart wrenching end, this one was probably the saddest movie I’ve seen. But it’s not the most emotional one I’ve been if you get what I mean. I just watched a Taiwanese movie last night and I tried so hard not to let the tears slip (because I wasn’t alone) but it did a little. So to me I felt more emotionally sad in that one. And also, have you seen K? (the anime)

    • Oh, i think i get it. It was only 45 minutes so the only sad part was the end, i guess.
I get less emotional when i am watching with other people as well, maybe most people do. Yup, i’ve watched the first season.

    • then you know what happened to Mikoto. Well when a flashback of him came up in the K: Missing Kings movie, I started crying because emotions.
I just don’t like people seeing me cry, I seriously hate it. I don’t like people coming and comforting me because then I’ll just cry even more.
But yeah, you get my point. ^^

    • Oh, i haven’t watched that movie yet. Maybe soon. πŸ™‚
Same here. I don’t like people seeing me cry too. I actually get teary-eyed quite easily but i always try not to cry.

    • Yup, i’m planning to. Season 2 is in my to-watch list but i don’t know when i’ll get to really watch it coz i’m busy with my final project right now. I haven’t been watching any new series this season too. 😫
In my case, i am called sensitive coz i get teary-eyed easily. 😣

  2. This was short but very emotionally moving for me ❀ No movie managed to help me feel so much in such a short span of time. The other more similar one was 5 Centimeters per Second. Have you watched it?
